About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Import Customs Support to join our growing team in Doral, FL. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in building a career in customs brokerage, logistics, or international trade.
In this role, you will provide administrative and customer support to the Customs team while learning the import clearance process end-to-end. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, energetic, and eager to grow within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Maintain organized records, filing systems, and data entry tasks
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries promptly
- Support daily office operations and administrative functions
- Assist with tracking shipment status and maintaining proper documentation
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Review import documentation to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Request missing documentation from importers, freight forwarders, steamship lines, or airlines
- Assist with preparing customs entries for clearance and delivery
- Generate invoices and maintain required shipment records
- Follow shipments through final delivery to ensure successful clearance
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an administrative, office support, or customer service role preferred
- Strong work ethic with excellent reliability and attention to detail
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly
- Logistics or customs brokerage experience is a plus, but not required
